A Moment of Silence to remember the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris

As we are all aware, our friends overseas – in Paris suffered an unthinkable tragedy over the weekend with recent terrorist attacks. As human beings, once again, we find ourselves connected — as anyone here in Newtown, Connecticut, knows first-hand. What happens in any one community, happens to all communities. An African author and poet, Warsan Shire, once wrote ‘Later that night I held an Atlas in my lap, ran my fingers across the whole world, and asked…where does it hurt ? It answered, everywhere, everywhere, everywhere.’
Paris…Nous sommes avec vous (Paris, we stand with you ).
As a united and caring school community – Please use today’s moment of silence to send your thoughts, your sympathies, and your prayers to our friends in France.
